The Onondaga County Clerk’s published fee schedule lists $15 for a mechanic’s lien. This replaces the older undifferentiated $20 figure on this page. Confirm any separate affidavit-of-service filing charge, payment-processing fee and other requested services with the clerk before submitting the documents.
A filing charge is separate from legal preparation, service, delivery, copies and any later enforcement action. The clerk’s acceptance of a lien does not establish that the claim is valid or that the service requirements have been met.
For private property in Syracuse, confirm the property description and Onondaga County filing requirements. Public-improvement liens involve contract funds and different filing offices.
